At Villa Providence Shediac, on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at the age of 91, Simone Lirette (née Boudreau) formerly of Ohio, Boudreau West, passed away with her daughters at her side. Born in Shediac, she was the daughter of the late Venant and Mélina (Thibodeau) Boudreau. Simone was the last member of her immediate family.
She will be greatly missed by her family who loved her very much: her daughter Diane Poirier (Raymond) from Ohio, Boudreau Ouest, her daughter Anne Caissie (Léo) from Grand-Barachois as well as her five grandchildren: Marco, Carole, Eric, Julien, and Patrick; her great-grandchildren: Tristan and Maika; a brother-in-law, Emery Gallant of Grand-Barachois as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Eric and her two sons: Georges and infant son Oscar as well as her brothers: Clarence, Laurie and Ovila; her sisters: Marguerite LeBlanc-Caissie, Marianne Boudreau, Flora Leger, Bertha Cormier, Thérèse Leger, and Lorraine Gallant.
A big special thank you to the nurses, activities staff and other employees of Villa Providence for their excellent care and services. We are incredibly grateful.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street. Shediac (532-3297) on Sunday, March 21, 2021 from 2-4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm ONLY. Due to the pandemic, face coverings are required for visitation and social distancing regulations are in effect. Limit of 50 people in the funeral centre at any given point during visitation.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 415 Main Street, Shediac on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in St. Joseph parish cemetery. Due to the pandemic, limit of 120 people for the Funeral Mass, face coverings are required, and social distancing regulations are in effect.

In memory of Simone, a contribution to the Société Alzheimer's Society, or to the St-Joseph cemetery in Shediac, or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
