Maxime Richard, 79, of Dieppe, passed away on Thursday March 18, 2021 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in St-Ignace, he was the son of the late Albert and Eva (Daigle) Richard.
Prior to his retirement, Maxime was a truck driver for Highland Transport.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jeannette née Bourque; one son, Michel (Nathalie) of Moncton; one daughter-in-law, Janice Richard of Ste-Marie-de-Kent; four grandchildren: Natac ha, Mélanie (Jamie), Tanya (Gabriel), and Jacob; one sister, Aurore Allain (Normand) of Cocagne; two sisters-in-law: Clairice Richard of Shediac Bridge and Edith Richard of St-Antoine; as well as his nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one son, Serge; and two brothers: Omer and Ovila.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm only. Due to the pandemic, face coverings are required for visitation and social distancing regulations are in effect. Limit of 50 people in the funeral centre at any given point during visitation.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at Sainte-Thérèse-de-l’Enfant-Jésus, 457 Acadie Avenue, Dieppe, on Tuesday, March 23 at 10:30 am. Due to the pandemic, face coverings are required and a maximum participation of 80 people with social distancing regulations are in effect. The funeral mass will be videotaped and posted later in the afternoon on his obituary.
Interment will be in Frenette Columbarium in Moncton.
