Adèle Boudreau, 79, of Dieppe passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC on Sunday March 28, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Gayton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph M. and Eléonore (LeBlanc) Boudreau.
Prior to her retirement in 1997, she was employed for 35 years at the Provincial Department of Transportation in Moncton. Her favorite pastime was to accomplish various types of puzzles. She was very proud of her fudge making skills, a sweet delicacy. Adèle especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be missed by all who knew her.
Adèle will be lovingly remembered by her two sisters: Gisèle LeBlanc (Dollard) and Huguette LeBlanc (Jean), both of Dieppe; three brothers: Jean Boudreau (Léona) of Calhoun, Leo Boudreau (Sherry) of Calgary and Charles Boudreau (Claudette) of Memramcook; a sister-in-law, Pauline Boudreau (late Conrad) of Calhoun; a brother-in-law, Fred Cormier (late Aurise) of Dieppe; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law from her late husband’s family; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She had a special place in her heart for her Godchildren: Charles Boudreau, late Nadine Perry, Anise LeBlanc, Natasha Boudreau, and Elise Hirschfield, as well as her aunt and Godmother, Yvonne Breau.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ron (2004); two sisters: Lorette LeBlanc (late Billy) and Aurise Cormier; a brother, Conrad Boudreau; a brother-in-law, Roger Boudreau; and her Godchild and niece, Nadine Perry.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) where the private funeral service will be celebrated on Friday April 2 at 10:30 am. Visiting hours are Thursday from 2 to 4 pm only. Interment will be at St-Thomas parish cemetery in Memramcook. Due to the pandemic, face coverings are required and a maximum participation of 50 people at a time with social distancing regulations are in effect. The funeral service will be streamed live; to view the funeral, go to her obituary on our Website.
In Adèle’s memory, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (Oncology Centre) or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
