It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing
of Norbert Boudreau, 87, of Cap-Pelé on Sunday July 23,
2023 at his residence. Born in Cap-Pelé, he was the son of
the late Alphée and Mélina (Léger)
Boudreau.
Before his retirement, Norbert worked at the Glass
Factory in Scoudouc and was the former owner of Boudreau
Shell.
Norbert will be greatly missed by his five children:
Paulette Ouellette (Raymond) of Petit-Cap, Donald (Madeleine) of
Cap-Pelé, Raymond of Shediac-Cape, Paul
(Hélène) of Dieppe, and Michelle Boudreau
(Maurice) of Petit-Cap; one sister, Georgeline Babineau (late Donald)
of Toronto, ON; nine grandchildren: Denis (Chelsey), Adèle
(Marcel), Benoit, Aubré (Katelyn), Pamela, Kimberly, Manon
(Jim), Jules (Natalie), and Ghislain; 14
great-grandchildren: Christopher, William, Jaxon, Skyler,
Mariève, Olivier, Elli, Alec, Savannah, Mackenzie, Mavrik,
Jace, Liam, Esmée, and a 15th
great-grandson; his special friend, and extended
family, Léona "Eleanor" Léger born
Goguen of Cap-Pelé, as well as many nieces and
nephews.
He was predeceased by his
wife, Carmelite Boudreau born Brown (2005); four brothers: Omer,
Alvin, Achille, and Rufin; three sisters: Albanie Brun, Armandine
Robichaud and Clémentine Niles; one infant great-grandson,
Gilles-Louis.
The family will receive
condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street,
Shediac (506-532-3297) where the funeral service will be celebrated on
Thursday August 3 at 3 pm. Visiting hours are Thursday from 1 pm until
time of funeral service. In memory of Norbert, a
contribution to the Cap-Pelé Knights of Columbus Lunch Box
would be appreciated.
