Laurette Doiron, 99, of Castel Des Flots Bleus, Cap-Pelé, passed away Friday September 8, 2023 at her residence. Born in Dupuis-Corner, she was the daughter of the late Sylvain and Annie (Richard) Landry.
Her family was her world and she loved taking care of them. Over the years, she enjoyed taking part in numerous family gatherings. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting and quilting.
She is survived by her two daughters: Roberta Gordon (Jim) and Brenda Melanson (Marc) all of Cap-Pelé; four sons: Roger of Gibsons Landing, BC, Thaddée Jr. (Bernadette) of Riverview, Donald (Carla Hanson) of Grand-Barachois, and Raymond (Patricia) of Morris, MB; four sisters: Louisa Niles (late Gerard), Jeannine LeBlanc (late Adrice), Annette Cormier (Freddy), and Liliane LeBlanc (late Léo) all of Cap-Pelé; nine grandchildren: Paul, Tara, Chantal, Christine, Rae-Anne (Rick), David, Christopher (Brooke), Alicia (Patrick), and Justin (Josée); 11 great-grandchildren: Jesse, Sophia, Jacob, Gabryelle, Luka, Jordanna, Ray, Emma, Aaliyay, Blakely, Kobe, Camryn, and Addison; five step-grandchildren: Patrick (Anita), Ethan, Jada, Malissa (Tim), and Keenan (Taylor); four step-great-grandsons: Trayden, Thomas, Nic (Janessa), and Owen, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Thaddée Doiron (1995); one sister, Aline Landry; four brothers: Valerie, Évariste, Raymond, and Yvon.
Our heartfelt thanks to the employees of the Castel Des Flots Bleus for their excellent care and support. Also, blessings to Adrienne Fagan who always gave mom a kiss on her forehead every night and prayed for mom until the end.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé on Thursday September 14 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Thérèse d'Avila Church, 2648 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé, on Friday September 15th at 11 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
In memory of Laurette, a contribution to the Activity Department at Castel Des Flots Bleus would be appreciated.
