Léontine Gallant, 92, passed away at The Moncton Hospital, on Friday, June 28, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Port Elgin, she was the daughter of the late Mathias and Germaine Cormier.

She is survived by three daughters: Janice Mazerolle (Dave) of Bouctouche, Janine Gallant of Moncton, and Claire Gallant (Hubert) of Cap-Pelé; two sons: Gordon (Gisèle) of Cap-Pelé and Daniel (Doreen) of Bouctouche; two sisters: Rose Drouin (late Roger) and Anne Truax both of Ottawa, ON; three brothers: Francis (Mona) of Ottawa, ON, Ronald (Judy), and Harvey (Karen) all from Pictou, NS; seven grandchildren: Michel, Chantale, Jason, Danis, Danik, Jonathan, and Steven; five great grandchildren; one great-great grandson, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Léontine was predeceased by her husband, George; two sisters: Muriel Côté (late Jean) and Juliette MacIsaac (late Colin); a brother, Léonce; three grandsons: Jocelin, Daniel, and Denis.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé on Wednesday, July 3 from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday, July 4 from 9:15 am to 10:15 am. The funeral will be held at Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila R. C. Church, 2648 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé on Thursday, July 4 at 10:30 am.

In memory of Léontine, a donation to the Lunch Program École Donat-Robichaud or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
