It is with great sadness that the family of Joan
Boudreau (Born Daigle) announces her passing on Sunday February 23, at
the age of 78. Surrounded by the love of her family, she passed away
peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Richibucto, New
Brunswick, Joan was the daughter of the late Dosithé and
Esther (Robichaud) Daigle.
A woman of great heart, a devoted wife and mother,
she was deeply committed to her faith and found comfort in praying the
rosary. Passionate about cooking, she loved sharing meals with family
and friends, especially during Christmas celebrations. She enjoyed
crocheting, cross-stitching, camping, dancing, singing, and playing
bingo. Her kindness and generosity guided her throughout her career,
first as a teacher’s assistant working with children with
special needs, then as a dedicated caregiver. She also devoted many
years to serving her parish with
generosity.
Joan is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years,
Ronald, as well as her cherished children, Gisèle (Rosalind
Hébert) and Maurice (Krista Cormier). She was a loving
grandmother to Taylor and Maya Boudreau, who brought her immense
joy.
She is also survived by her sisters:
Émilia Richard (late Bernard), Roberta Richard (late Yvon),
and Joyce Noël (late Ronald), her brother-in-law Fernand
Boudreau, as well as many nieces and
nephews.
She is now reunited in peace with her parents,
parents-in-law, her sister Lorraine Daigle, and her sister-in-law
Claudette LeBlanc (late Richard), who predeceased
her.
The family would like to express their heartfelt
gratitude to the compassionate staff at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital
for the kind and attentive care provided to Joan throughout her
illness.
