Hélène Léger, 85, of
Dieppe, passed away on Thursday March 20, 2025 at Hospice Albert
House. Born in Halifax, N.S., she was the daughter of the late Aubert
and Marguerite (LeBlanc) Léger.
She is
survived by three children: Denis of Thailand, Maryse of Moncton and
Josée LeBlanc (Jean-Claude) of Dieppe; five grandchildren:
Dominik, Camylle, Élie, Arianne, and Mathis; a very special
friend, Sonya Sullivan, who has devoted herself to the well-being of
Hélène and her family over the past years; two
sisters: Jacqueline Melanson (Emery) of Grande-Digue and Yolande White
(Christopher) of Moncton; two brothers: Charles (Louise) of Carrying
Place, ON, and Roland (Brenda) of Corner Brook, Nfld.; as well as
several nieces and nephews.
In
accordance with Hélène’s wishes, the
private funeral mass was celebrated at Saint-Anselme church in Dieppe.
Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory
of Hélène, a contribution to Hospice SENB
(Albert House) or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated. Funeral
arrangements are in the professional care of Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, Moncton (506-858-1900).
