It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
Lorraine Thériault, 87, of Moncton, at The Moncton Hospital
on March 22, 2025 surrounded by her family. A mother, grandmother,
sister, aunt, and friend, she was born in Baie-Sainte-Anne and was the
daughter of Fred and Elizabeth (Daigle) Manuel.
She was known to be a feisty strong-willed woman with a heart
of gold. She loved her grandchildren and will be dearly
missed.
She is survived by three daughters: Jacqueline Manuel
(Jean-Guy Martin) of Black River, Joanne Filiatrault (Mike) of Moncton
and Jocelyne Thériault of Moncton; her good friend,
Rosimond Caissie of Moncton; two sisters: Carmella Manuel (Richard) of
Montréal, QC, and Corinne Cook (Howard) of Moncton; three
brothers: Gérard (Gabrielle) of Baie-Sainte-Anne, Antoine
of Montréal, QC, and Patrice (Diane) of Gaspé,
QC; four grandchildren: Renelle (Daniel Frost), Chanelle (Andrew
Moschuk), Zoë and Owen; as well as several nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband,
Gérard (2003); two sisters: Arilda and infant Eliza; five
brothers: Joseph, Edgar, Albert, Edmond and Bertin.
In accordance with Lorraine’s wishes, there will be
no visitation and no funeral service. Interment will be at Our Lady of
Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of Lorraine, a contribution to
the Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation (Cardiology) would be
appreciated. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of

Safely
Home
I am home in heaven,
dear ones.
Oh, so happy and
bright!
There is perfect joy and
beauty
In this everlasting
light.
All the pain and grief
is over,
Every restless tossing
passed;
I am now at peace
forever,
Safely home in heaven at
last.
There is work still
waiting for you,
So you must not idly
stand,
Do it now, while life
remaineth,
You shall rest in God's
own land.
When that work is all
completed,
He will gently call you
home;
Oh, the rapture of that
meeting,
Oh, the joy to see you
come!
