Florence Bourque, 89, of Moncton, passed away on Sunday March 30, 2025 at her residence. Born in Pré-d’en-Haut, she was the daughter of the late Amable and Laura (LeBlanc) Bourgeois.

Prior to her retirement, Florence worked at Marvens. She was always willing to help and listen to anyone who needed anything, and her good advice was always appreciated. She was the heart of Château Scoudouc, and her contagious smile brightened the heart of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her daughter, Jocelyne Bourque (Eric) of Scoudouc; two grandsons: Patrick and Jacy; three sisters: Rita Belliveau (late Aurèle) and Dorine Boudreau (Gérard), both of Pré-d’en-Haut, and Aline Cormier (Albert) of Waltham, Mass.; one sister-in-law, Jeannine Bourgeois (late Philomon); as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Valerie (2018); her brother, Philomon; as well as two siblings at a young age: Thérèse and Edgar.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Monday April 7 at 11 am.  Visiting hours are Sunday from 7 to 9 pm only. Florence’s final resting place will be at Frenette Columbarium in Moncton. In memory of Florence, a contribution to any local food bank would be appreciated.
